In order to facilitate data processing in the clinical laboratory, a system was devised for colorimetric analysis in which the necessary calculations for hemoglobin measurement were performed automatically using analog and digital computer programs singly and combined. The technics described are essential steps toward an over-all system for obtaining, calculating, storing, and retrieving data in a clinical laboratory.
