The Separation of Protein-bound Iodine and Nonprotein Iodine by Serum Coagulation

Heat coagulation of serum proteins was compared to the usual trichloracetic acid (TCA) protein precipitation for the determination of iodine. The values for the washed coagulum checked very well with ones obtained by the standard procedure.
