A Quantitative Procedure for the Determination of Nitrofurantoin in Whole Blood and Plasma

A rapid, quantitative procedure for the determination of nitrofurantoin in 0.5 ml. of whole blood and plasma is presented. The method has a sensitivity of 2 mg./L., with recoveries of 95-100%. The absorbance-concentration curve is linear to 60 mg./L.
