Mucopolysaccharides which can be described as relatively stable peroxides were isolated from the sweat of 2 light-sensitive patients. The mucopolysaccharides have been characterized by infrared absorbance in KBr at 867 cm.-1 Upon grinding of the Pellet, this absorbance disappears and gives a stronger one at 848 cm.-1
