Acid hydrolytic enzymes were measured in plasma from 6 patients with Gauchers
disease. Markedly increased values were found not only for acid phosphatase, as
expected, but also for
-acetylglucosaminidase and
-glucuronidase. The activity of
-galactosidase and
-fucosidase was slightly increased, and that of
-mannosidase
was normal.
