Acid Hydrolases in Plasma in Gaucher’s Disease

Acid hydrolytic enzymes were measured in plasma from 6 patients with Gaucher’s disease. Markedly increased values were found not only for acid phosphatase, as expected, but also for beta-acetylglucosaminidase and beta-glucuronidase. The activity of beta-galactosidase and agr-fucosidase was slightly increased, and that of agr-mannosidase was normal.
