Yeast adenylic acid was investigated as a substrate for serum acid phosphatase determination. It was compared as a substrate primarily with
-glycerophosphate and found to be very similar in selectivity and sensitivity. There appears to be no significant advantage in the use of yeast adenylic acid over
-glycerophosphate for this purpose.
