Just as mention of "Tietz" is sufficient shorthand for the venerable comprehensive clinical chemistry text, toxicologists immediately recognize "Baselt" as a definitive source of information for drugs and chemicals encountered as toxins. This seventh edition appears only 2 years after the previous edition, and it continues the pattern of inclusion of new chemicals (139 in this case), including herbal medicines, animal toxins, pesticides, and drugs.
