Frequently Asked Questions
about Individual (Non-Member) Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

    Yes, when you complete the subscription process, you will choose a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

    We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.

  3. Why should I get an Individual (Non-Member) Subscription?

    Individual (Non-Member) Subscribers have access to:
    Tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full-text display, document delivery, PDFs, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, and the advantage of having password access to Clinical Chemistry Online from any computer connected to the Internet.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

    If your institution has a paper subscription, it is eligible to have an electronic version of the Journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full-text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

    Your institution may also subscribe to the Online Only electronic version of Clinical Chemistry. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  5. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

    Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future. At some time, the paper and electronic versions may be available as separate subscriptions.

  6. Who is eligible for an Individual (Non-Member) and a Member Subscription?

    Individual (Non-Member) Subscriptions are available to individuals, providing them with a Print and Online Version (Bundled Rate) or the Online Only Version (No Print)of the Journal. AACC Members are eligible for Member Subscriptions to Clinical Chemistry, providing them with a Print and Online Version or the Online Only Version of the journal. Members and Non-Members may also have access to Clinical Chemistry Online through an Institutional Subscription.

  7. How can I access Clinical Chemistry Online if I am not an AACC member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

    You may wish to apply for AACC membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) Print and/or Online subscription. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.

  8. How do I become a member of AACC?

    If you prefer to take advantage of all the benefits of being a member of AACC, which may include a subscription to Clinical Chemistry in print and/or online, please join by clicking on the "JOIN AACC" button on our Membership Information Page. or contact Customer Service below for additional information.
